Medium to large sized, round stone fruit with smooth, shiny skin.
Yellow varieties have golden yellow interior flesh that is darker red around the seed with golden skins that blush orange-red.
White varieties have white interior flesh, also red around the seed, with white skins that blush pink-red.
Early varieties are clingstone.
Later varieties are freestone. |

Tangy-sweet and extremely juicy, ripe nectarines have a somewhat firm texture and lightly fibrous flesh.
