The eyes and hands along the supply chain

Customer satisfaction and food safety are top priorities for our expert operations and quality control team. Employing the latest technology, the Oppenheimer Ops/QC crew can track each pallet from orchard to marketplace. We perform inspections at every transfer point, feeding real-time data into our inventory system and ensuring that the fruit is treated with care, every step of the way.

Members of our Ops/QC team are our eyes and hands along the supply chain. Each of our main product categories has a "category captain" who is an expert in the quality considerations unique to that product group. These experts are often mobile, relocating to our growers' fields to provide quality assurance guidance from before the harvest begins.

Because we source produce from around the world and move a good portion of it between the U.S., Canada and Mexico, knowledge of current international regulations and clearance protocols are a must. This expertise, facilitated by our own transportation company and backed by solid relationships with federal agencies, enables us to bring our products into the North American supply chain without delay. Oppenheimer is also a member of the Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (C-TPAT), a joint government-business initiative based on cooperative relationships, that strengthens the overall supply chain and enhances border security. This partnership allows qualified member organizations, like Oppenheimer, to bring products across the border swiftly and safely.

In effort to keep our fruit in optimum condition during storage, we use a network of top-notch warehouse facilities. The Ops/QC group also adds value to the transaction with customers through careful re-packing of product into customer-specific packaging in strategic locations.
