Electronic Data Exchange

A large portion of our business with suppliers, banks, cold storage facilities, transportation networks and retail/foodservice customers is now conducted via EDI, interactive Web sites and iTradeNetwork.

We support applicable ANSI ASC X12 (American National Standards Institute Accredited Standards Committee) document standards and conform to EAN*UCC (European Article Numbering Association*Uniform Code Council) standards. While the majority of transactions are still exchanged via EDI VANs (Electronic Data Interchange Value Added Networks), we are rapidly migrating to EDIINT AS2, which is secure data exchange over the Internet, for cost savings and efficiency improvements.

We use our own internal systems for data alignment and synchronization of products and locations. In the future we expect to utilize industry product databases and other common catalogue systems, according to customer requirements.
