Marjorie Calibaba
Vice President, Human Resources
Marjorie Calibaba brings more than 18 years of senior management experience to her role in developing strategies and programs to enhance our organizational effectiveness and workplace culture.
Before she came to Oppenheimer, Marjorie held various management roles with the Saskatchewan Government. She then led the HR department for the Etobicoke Board of Education in Ontario before moving to Vancouver where she became head of compensation for the City of Vancouver.
In 1998, Marjorie joined our company as our first director of human resources. Since then, she has strengthened our corporate culture by introducing initiatives that support employees in the pursuit of self-improvement and in bettering our business as a whole. She became vice president of human resources in January 2006.
Marjorie has sat on the Board of the Canadian Council of Human Resources Association as well as on the Board of the British Columbia Human Resources Management Association (BCHRMA). In 2003, she was honored by the BCHRMA as a finalist for the 2003 Award of Excellence, recognizing individuals whose innovative people skills deliver results.
