James Milne
Executive Director, Greenhouse & Citrus Categories

Former Director of Marketing James Milne was appointed to the role of executive director, greenhouse and citrus categories in January 2006. In his current position, Milne continues to develop Oppenheimer's robust greenhouse category and concentrates on the strategic growth of the citrus category.

James began his food marketing career with New Zealand-based ENZA in 1987 as a brand manager for the "Fresh-up" fruit juices division. He was soon promoted to marketing manager for fresh fruits on export to Asia. In 1994, James became vice president of ENZA Fresh in Vancouver, B.C., where he began interacting directly with Oppenheimer, as ENZA's North American marketing arm. He joined our company as pipfruit category director in 1996.

Having spent 15 years bringing internationally grown apples and pears to market, James was chosen for Oppenheimer's top marketing spot in 2001. Over his five years as marketing director, he helped lead our company to a refreshed marketing strategy, including corporate branding initiatives and cohesive sales, marketing and product promotion, instilling new processes and internal disciplines along the way.

A New Zealander from Wellington, James has a bachelor's of commerce and administration degree from Victoria University and has played cricket up to an international level in New Zealand.
