Based in Vancouver, B.C., David Nelley manages all aspects of Oppenheimer's apple, pear and pineapple business in his role of Director of the Pipfruit and Pineapple Categories. David also guides our organic business across all product categories.

David's career in produce began in April 1993 at the New Zealand Apple and Pear Marketing Board in New Zealand. Following roles of progressively increasing responsibility, he took the position of west coast marketing manager for ENZA International in Seattle, WA, in 1995. During his tenure, David was heavily involved in building demand for the New Zealand Braeburn apple in North America.

In 1997, David became ENZA's marketing manager for Northeast Asia, relocating to Singapore for two and a half years. After a year as marketing manager for Priceline.com's affiliate in Sydney, Australia, he returned to North America in early 2001, taking on the role of pipfruit category manager for our company. David was shortly promoted to pipfruit category director and added pineapple to his repertoire, applying disciplines from the ENZA pipfruit deal to this category. In his current role, David has been instrumental in introducing ENZA Jazz™ apples and Linda brand pineapple to North America.

David holds a bachelor's degree with honors in international management and marketing from Waikato University in Hamilton, New Zealand.
